Abstract:Based on the Upper Echelons Theory as our study perspective,and data gathered form public companies in China stock market between 2003 and 2007 as our samples,we test the infl uence of entrepreneur background on international strategy choices in empirical method. The conclusion reveals that:(1)the relationship between the age of entrepreneurs and international strategy choices presents a comples U curve(;2)the education level of entrepreneurs received has a great negative effect on the international strategy choice;(3)the major,functional background of entrepreneurs have positive ef ect onit,entrepreneurs whohavemajoredineconomicmanagementwill participateinhigher level international activitieswhile entrepreneurs with trade and marketing runctional background will lead higher internationalization. As China's unique cultural and constitutional environment,this paper also gives specificdiscussionandinterpretationaccording to theempirical result.
