Based on the analysis of 60 sample Chinese textbooks of international trade, the author finds many problems and defects in the international trade expounding systems of China. They mainly include: (1) serious defects in expounding international trade policies; (2) failure to foster extensively correct economic ideas; (3) common defects in explaining international trade theories; (4) lack of efficient and sufficient analysis of international trade environment; (5) weak theoretical thinking, needed pressingly by economic practice at present. Therefore, it is time to reform the international trade expounding systems of China.
