Abstract:In recent years, Sino-African economic and trade cooperation is strengthened day by day. As the African area enters into a period of rapid economic growth, developed countries such as America and Europe have begun to adjust economic and trade policies to Africa actively as to replying the rising status of China in the foreign economic and trade relations of Africa. Under this background, the Chinese economic and trade policies on Africa in the future with will face the challenge of European and American countries. Lome Agreement which was made between the EU and ACP countries containing the main African countries is a very fruitful one among the overall institutional arrangements of African foreign economic and trade relationship. It can provide the beneficial reference for the Sino-African economic and trade cooperation. This paper deeply combs and analyzes historical background, the core content and the process of evolution of the Lome Agreement, and puts forward the suggestions on the Sino-African economic and trade cooperation in the future.
