Using multinational panel date during 1995 and 2009 and fixed effect model, this paper attempts to study the relationship between services trade openness and carbon dioxide emissions by the empirical test. Results show that in the sample range, the services trade openness and carbon dioxide emissions are inverted U-shaped relationship. Based on this, the study of high income countries show that services trade openness can significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions, the middle income countries are not significant, and upper middle income countries are inverted U-shaped relationship.
