This paper explores the relationship between China’s OFDI and domestic CO2 emissions with panel data which covers 30 provinces (Tibet excluded) in China from 2003 to 2011.The results indicate that the increase of China’s OFDI increases the domestic carbon emissions. However, this effect is proved with region variance. That is, the positive effect of OFDI on China’s CO2 appears higher in central China than western China while this effect appears insignificant in eastern China. Meanwhile,it is found that the level of R&D and education can significantly reduce China’s CO2emissions while energy structure and environmental protection investment will increase China’s carbon emissions.
