Abstract:As the world’s two largest economics, US and EU open the negotiation of Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership with the aim of reviving the economy of both sides of the Atlantic. TTIP is deemed as the largest bilateral trade agreement in history which is estimated to bring great economic benefits and geopolitical interests to the US and EU. Both sides have great expectations on it and set a high goal for the negotiation. There are differences between both sides on many sensitive issues such as agricultural subsidies, transgenic, geographical indications, China shall pay close attention to the negotiation. If a final agreement is reached, China’s position in the world trade system might shake.
