Abstract:This paper analyzes the effect of reverse information technology outsourcing, reverse business process outsourcing and reverse knowledge process outsourcing on the productivity of manufacturing industry through the analysis of the panel data of 16 manufacturing industries between 2002~2011. All these three models bring negative effect on the productivity of manufacturing industry. The reverse information technology outsourcing brings the least negative effect on the productivity and the reverse knowledge process outsourcing brings the biggest negative effect on the productivity. The negative effect on the productivity from the three models of reverse service outsourcing will weaken in the future. The reverse information technology outsourcing brings the biggest weakening degree to the negative effect on the productivity and the reverse knowledge process outsourcing brings the minimum weakening degree to the negative effect on the productivity. Among the three models the investment change on reverse knowledge process outsourcing brings positive impact on productivity significantly, and the investment change on the others brings negative impact on the productivity indistinctively.
