This article tries to explain, from the experience of the author’s participation in the WTO dispute settlement, why the author proposes that “WTO is a Model of International Law”. The article proves that the WTO has a complete system of rules for trade and the rules are effectively enforced. The article also points out China’s participation in the legal practice of the WTO and its significance to China. Finally the article tries to clarify some of the ideas on the WTO, namely misunderstandings, overlooking or ignorance on the WTO.
