As the current global trade confronts the inadequate growth and trade protectionism is prevailing in all directions, as one of the trade remedy policies, countervailing is under the spotlight. This paper describes the situation and influences of countervailing investigation against China conducted by major countries and regions by virtue of the countervailing investigation database within WTO and trade remedy website in China, based on which the authors summarize the regularity and characteristics, as well as the differences of the relevant investigation, and analyze the essential reasons of China’s suffering. Finally, the authors put forward some corresponding countermeasures. Meanwhile, this article tries to arouse the attention of the officials, scholars and experts, and stresses the serious situation generated by current global trade protectionism and the investigations which China is coping with, so as to offer reference for countervailing policy decisions in China.
