Abstract:This paper collects cultural service exports of 216 countries from 2006 to 2012 and tests the impact of cultural distance to the cultural services exports using Gravity Model. The main results show that the cultural distance measured by Hofstede framework has an adverse effect on the development of national culture service trade. The negative effect of cultural distance on cultural service exports will decrease when we join the official language difference variable and internet variable. Different cultural dimensions have different effect on cultural service exports. Cultural distance has a significant negative effect on the cultural information service influence and has a positive effect on the reproduction or distribution of cultural products trade license. The different type of cultural distance has different effects on cultural service trade.
