Abstract:The Belt & Road Initiatives have become an important part of building China’s open economy at a higher level and fulfilling full liberalization in the new era. They will also become a new kinetic momentum to promote economic development and common prosperity in the relevant areas and a new engine for economic growth in both China and the world. From the perspective of international economics, with the help of the“B&R” initiatives, China can adapt to the complicated evolutions of comparative advantages in the world economy and the new power mechanism of international division of labor. Besides, they meet the strategic demand of the new and old kinetic momentum conversion during the process of full liberalization. The“B&R”initiatives expand the market diversification strategy of China’s foreign trade. In order to implement the“B&R”initiatives smoothly, we need to realize the threats and risks originating from global governance and geopolitics and analyze the safety and the rate of return on investment in infrastructures.
