Cultural innovation is the important way to get rid of the current economic stagnancy and form a strong growth momentum. Based on the report of global innovation index(GII) in 2016, the paper selects the GII top ten countries along the Belt and Road Initiatives and analyses their ranking in global innovation index, innovation efficiency ratio, innovation input sub-index and innovation output sub-index, to inspect the development characteristic of their cultural innovation activity. On this bases, the paper takes the top ten most innovative countries as reference, to find the restriction factors influencing the Belt and Road regional cultural innovation, and puts forward policy suggestions and tactics to promote the regional cultural innovation sustainable development.
