The free trade pilot zone strategy and the Belt and Road Initiatives are the core forces of China's new opening up pattern. Taking Shaanxi Pilot Free Trade Zone, which is located in the core area of the Belt and Road, as an example, a year after its establishment, remarkable reform results have been achieved. However, in line with the strategic orientation given by the state and the development goal of free trade ports, the Shaanxi Pilot Free Trade Zone needs to further enhance its capacity for independent innovation, from government functions to investment reform, industrial transformation and upgrading, to financial openness, people-to-people exchanges, and to the rule of law. We will speed up the integration of the free trade pilot zone strategy with the Belt and Road initiatives, and promote innovative development of the inland open economy.
