There are some pertinacious problems in China’s governmental regulation on exhibition industry, like over-emphasizing administrative license, splitting and weak regulation in the course and afterwards, and scarce self-discipline regulation by industrial association. During preparation of the first China International Import Expo, although the government highly underlined guarantee and coordination by various administrative organs in the host city, the problems as splitting regulation, lack of an authoritative regulation agency, inability to respond realistic needs in exhibition industry by traditional supervising methods and week guilds can not be resolved effectively. By the chance of holding this grand expo, the regulation system in China’s exhibition industry shall be reshaped step by step. Filing system and a uniformed supervision agency shall be thoroughly established. On-the-spot supervision by one stop shall be strengthened, and rapid disputes resolution system and interim enforcement measures shall be added. Marketization as the revolution’s basic direction, we also need to enhance industrial association’s self-discipline regulation, and finally establish an interconnected regulation system of industry autonomy, governmental regulation and social supervision.
