Abstract:Nowadays, the WTO is facing huge impact of reform pressures, and meanwhile, the multilateral trade and investment framework is experiencing unprecedented challenges. The global trade tensions have intensified the fragmentation of the international investment system. Therefore, it is urgent to guarantee the multiple trade system which makes positive response to the new business modes, especially under the epidemic situation of the COVID-19. China is now facing complicated international business and investment environment. On the one hand, it needs to play a full part in the work of the WTO, promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, and promote reform through opening-up. On the other hand, it needs to provide its own approach to contribute to the investment framework system of the WTO and fully support the developing countries to integrate into the multiple trade mechanism.
