Abstract:At present, the development of digital trade rules under the WTO framework is slow, while at the regional level, the development of digital trade rules has received great attention and promotion from various countries. The Digital Economy Partnership Agreement (DEPA) and the Singapore-Australia Digital Economy Agreement (SADEA) are the latest development in digital trade rules in the Asia-Pacific region, and there are noteworthy innovations in both the rule model and the scope of topics. Compared with the main digital trade agreements in the Asia-Pacific region, the DEPA and SADEA rules have a broader scope and have deepened and expanded American digital trade rules. It can be predicted that the development of digital trade rules in the Asia-Pacific region will become diversified in the future and will have a major impact on the negotiation and integration of rules at many side levels. The development of digital trade rules in the Asia-Pacific region will further pursue the expansion of the scope of topics, an open and inclusive rule mode with modular themes.
