Global climate governance is a multi-dimensional international economic and environmental issue. The role of the Paris Agreement in global climate governance cannot be underestimated. The Paris Agreement established a bottom-up carbon emission reduction climate governance model with“national determined contribution + five-year review”as the core, marking a new stage of global climate governance. The withdrawal and return of the United States to the Paris Agreement has brought some incalculable variables to the global cooperation in tacking climate change. The United States should take the lead in reducing carbon emission and promote global climate governance by relying on its influence in the field of global climate governance. Cooperation in coping with climate change is a broad consensus of all countries and the common political will of all sectors. It has become an irreversible trend for all countries to take the path of climate appropriate low-carbon development.
