Abstract:Intelligent connection is the organic integration of broadband, 5G, cloud computing, Internet of things and artificial intelligence. It is the cornerstone of promoting a country from digitization to intelligence. This paper empirically analyzes the impact of Huawei’s intelligent connection theory on the export of high-tech products. It is found that a country’s intelligent connection level plays a significant role in promoting the export scale and proportion of its high-tech products. This effect is achieved by reducing the transaction costs of high-tech export enterprises and improving the integration of manufacturing and service industries. The group discussion found that the promotion effect of intelligent connection on the export scale and proportion of high-tech products of starters, leaders and accelerators decreased in turn. Smart connection can significantly increase the proportion of high-tech products exported by countries with high Internet development and the scale of high-tech products exported by countries with low Internet development. With the rise of quantile level, the regression coefficient of intelligent connection on the scale and proportion of high-tech exports presents the characteristics of“M”and“inverted U”respectively. A variety of robustness tests and endogenous discussion confirm that the above conclusions are reliable.
