Enterprise digital transformation can induce knowledge spillover, which is an effective way to promote the integration of enterprises’global value chain. Based on the data of listed Chinese manufacturing enterprises from 2007 to 2016, this paper explores the impact of enterprises’digital transformation on global value chain integration from the perspective of knowledge spillover. The results show that, compared with non-digital transformation enterprises, knowledge spillover of digital transformation enterprises significantly promotes the integration of the global value chain. After overcoming the endogeneity problem and a series of robustness tests, the conclusion is still valid. Heterogeneity analysis shows that the knowledge spillover of digitalized transformation enterprises has a significant positive impact on the integration of state-owned enterprises, low IT investment enterprises, and technology capital-intensive enterprises into global value chains. The further discussion shows that the strengthening of intellectual property protection and the easing of financing constraints strengthen the positive effect of knowledge spillover from digital transformation on enterprises’integration into global value chains. These conclusions are of great importance for further understanding of the knowledge spillover effect released by enterprises’digitization transformation and its impact on enterprises’global value chain integration.
