In response to the slowdown in trade globalization in recent years due to multiple crises, WTO has put forward the concept of re-globalization, which aims to make global trade secure, inclusive and sustainable. The realization of this concept needs to overcome many difficulties, such as shortcomings in the efficiency of the WTO’s decision-making, the challenge of trade protectionism, and differences among its members on key issues. China, as a responsible big country, is also actively exploring its own concept of globalization and has developed many practices that are highly compatible with the concept of re-globalization. In this critical period of transformation of global trade governance, China should actively respond to the concept of re-globalization and its institutional response, so as to promote the transformation of the concept of re-globalization into reality.
